Inaugural customer IceNet Atlantic to offer access to virtual healthcare across Newfoundland
TORONTO, CANADA (May 20, 2020) — PomeGran Networks Inc., a leading IoT Managed Service Provider, is pleased to announce that it has signed an agreement to offer virtual healthcare to its customers across the country. Its inaugural customer will be IceNet Atlantic, a leading Wireless ISP in Newfoundland.
Virtual healthcare will be accessible through a user-friendly mobile app or web portal, from anywhere in the country. The bilingual service connects users to a health practitioner 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days of the year through real-time text or video chat. Whether for prescriptions, mental health support, or lab work and imaging requirements, virtual healthcare provides another way for users to access the help they need when they need it and, especially during these times, to stay safe while doing so.
“By offering on-demand virtual healthcare, we are significantly enhancing our IoT-enabled Managed Service Offerings. By providing a patient-friendly platform to our customers across Canada, we are helping to provide more options to access healthcare, particularly during this challenging time of COVID-19. We are excited about this collaboration and the impact it will have on the customers we serve,” stated Hari Acharya, Chief Operating Officer, PomeGran Networks Inc.
Once a diagnosis has been made, health practitioners on the app can send digital prescriptions to users’ preferred pharmacy anywhere in Canada, allowing for a seamless patient experience. Through this platform, PomeGran is affording individuals and their families the convenience of having expert health advice and diagnosis while in the comfort of their own home. This will also allow for continued physical distancing and will help alleviate some of the pressures on the healthcare system, so that scarce resources can be deployed for more urgent cases.
“Our customers in IceNet Atlantic will be able to greatly benefit from PomeGran’s virtual healthcare offering,” said Kalai S. Kalaichelvan, CEO of IceNet Atlantic. “Through this agreement, we are very pleased to provide this service to our growing customer base. Subscribers, their spouses/partners and any dependents living at the same address under the age of 25, will be able to benefit from this powerful platform. Especially as the Canadian economy starts to reopen in phases, access to real-time 24/7 virtual healthcare will be a central component of providing comfort and confidence that social distancing measures are working to continue to flatten the curve of the impact of COVID-19,” he concluded.
24/7 virtual healthcare is immediately available from PomeGran Networks and IceNet Atlantic.
